Inpatient Treatment

After acute detoxification, the clients stay in a residential facility designed to assist with recovery from alcohol abuse and to provide counseling and skill development.

Because alcoholism encompasses so many factors, a host of professionals work with clients to maximize their ability to abstain from alcohol. Counselors, pharmacists, social workers, physicians, and nurses comprise the team that works with the patient. A treatment plan is developed to help clients achieve goals that will enable them to remain committed to abstinence from alcohol.

The time duration of residential inpatient programs varies. Because of the high cost of such programs, insurance companies frequently limit the length of stay. For those without insurance, inpatient services may not be an option.
