Biographical Statement:

I'm from a small family and small town in rural Pennsylvania. My interest in public health stems in part from my experiences as a child growing-up in a socioeconomically challenged area undergoing economic and essentially cultural change. I'm driven to help advance the health and well-being of West Virginia and the Appalachian region through collaborative research, service and teaching centered on priority health disparities and local level needs.

Why did you choose WVU?

WVU is an incredible opportunity by which I can build a life which allows me to be of service to others.

What does Public Health mean to you?

To me, public health is opportunity for improvement, for betterment, and room for hope.
