New WVU ICRC Epidemiologist, Toni Rudisill.

Wednesday, July 8, 2015

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Toni Rudisill as a full-time epidemiologist at the West Virginia University Injury Control Research Center (WVU-ICRC), effective July 6, 2015.  Toni is expected to graduate with a PhD in epidemiology from the WVU School of Public Health this August.  This past May, she successfully defended her dissertation entitled “Drug Use and the Risk of Motor Vehicle Collision among Drivers 65 years of age and Older” mentored by Dr. Motao Zhu, an associate professor of epidemiology.  Toni has been an outstanding graduate research assistant at the ICRC for the past 2+ years, working primarily on Zhu’s R01 grant to study cell phone laws and distracted driving.  As an epidemiologist, she will continue to work with Dr. Zhu in injury epidemiology and transportation safety.  Please extend congratulations to Toni as she is well-deserving of this opportunity!
