Dr. Clay Marsh will be among speakers

The 29th Annual Mid-Atlantic Conference on Worksite Wellness will take place on Oct. 8 and 9 at Morgantown’s Waterfront Place. The event is one of the longest running conferences dedicated to worksite wellness and health prevention on the east coast.

The Wellness Council of West Virginia’s (WCWV) Mid-Atlantic Conference and Awards Celebration provides companies and organizations with resources for creating a healthier and more productive workforce. This year’s keynote speakers are Dr. Clay Marsh, vice president and executive dean of health sciences of West Virginia University and Dr. Michael Brumage, executive director and health officer of the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department.

Break-out sessions regarding corporate wellness and prevention will be offered both days. The Wellness Council of West Virginia’s (WCWV) Mid-Atlantic Conference and Awards Celebration benefits companies by providing opportunities to gain knowledge and develop a better understanding of the strategies necessary to establish and maintain effective worksite health initiatives.

On Friday, Oct. 9, the WCWV will recognize state companies for their successful outcomes in worksite health prevention in the National Excellence in Worksite Wellness (N.E.W.W.) Awards Ceremony.
