New Department of Biostatistics Faculty

Leann Long

Dr. Leann Long will be joining the WVU Department of Biostatistics on July 8 as an Assistant Professor. She received her PhD in Biostatistics at the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with emphasis in epidemiology and demography.  Her statistical research interests include categorical data methods, specifically zero-inflated Poisson regression methods. 
In addition to her statistical research, Dr. Long has consulting experience in health behavior, reproductive epidemiology, and dental research, leading to publications in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Reproductive Sciences, Hypertension, Caries Research and Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  As a student at UNC, Dr. Long also was the recipient of two NIH training grants, NICHD (2006-2009) and NIEHS (2010-2012).
