WVU's Injury Control Research Center seeks new director

WVU's Injury Control Research Center (ICRC) is seeking a proven and dynamic leader who is an accomplished researcher in the fields of injury and/or violence control and prevention, to serve as the next Director of the WVU Injury Control Research Center – one of ten CDC-funded injury centers nationwide.

The ICRC is located within the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center (HSC), in Morgantown, West Virginia. Within the HSC, the ICRC is co-sponsored by the Schools of Medicine and Public Health. The ICRC maintains a specific focus on serving the populations of West Virginia and the surrounding Appalachian region, and the associated injury priorities of drug overdoses and poisonings, motor-vehicle-related injuries, and falls among the elderly.

Applicants with experience with these priority populations and expertise in these focus areas are highly desired and strongly encouraged to apply. However, applications from those with expertise in any of the seven focus areas of the ICRC will also be accepted. Additional information on the research, education and outreach activities and priorities of the ICRC, and our affiliated faculty members can be found at the ICRC website
