The Office of Public Health Practice and Workforce Development is part of the WVU School of Public Health. Additionally, in 2014 our office, on behalf of the School, was named a Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) local performance site for Workforce Development in Region III. We carry out our mission through workforce training and development, practice-based learning and continuing education designed to build the capacity of public health practice across West Virginia.
At the foundation of our products and services are our training programs. All offerings are aligned with the Council on Linkages Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals. Many of our trainings are free and may be found online. Other training programs may be brought to you in your district, region or agency - or may be offered as part of the agenda of an existing conference or event sponsored by an association, institution, health department or community group.
For additional information about our trainings, contact Crystal Rhodes at firstname.lastname@example.org or 304-293-0760.
