Kimberly RauscherDr. Kimberly Rauscher is Assistant Professor and a core faculty member of the Injury Control Research Center at WVU. She received her ScD in Work Environment Policy and MA in Regional Economic and Social Development from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Prior to joining WVU, she served as Senior Research Scientist at the University of North Carolina Injury Prevention Research Center.

Dr. Rauscher's main research interest is occupational health and safety policy and the prevention of occupational injuries, with an emphasis on adolescent workers. Her previous research includes an investigation of child labor violations in the US retail and service industries, a study of workplace violence and sexual harassment experienced by adolescent workers, and the first study to document social disparities in occupational injuries among adolescent workers. Currently, she is leading a study of adolescent worker fatalities and attendant child labor and OSHA violations as well as a new study examining "occupational health literacy" among adolescent workers and its role in mediating the relationship between socioeconomic status and occupational injury risk.
