PubLit Book Club

The purpose of the PubLit Book Club is to introduce the concepts of Public Health through literature and discussion. Students, faculty and members from our local and global community are invited to engage in conversations that serve the dual purposes of: a) bridging the knowledge gap of this growing field and b) empowering individuals to voice their concerns and take action regarding issues that shape their lives.
The summer reading selection is The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skoot. A formal meeting date to discuss the book will take place during the first week of classes. In the meantime, members are invited to post comments via the PubLit Facebook page.
