Biostatistics Course Leads to Student Publication

Sandipan Bhattacharjee, a PhD student in the School of Pharmacy, recently published an article in Diabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews based on the meta-analysis he performed in BIOS 663: Introduction to Meta-Analysis, led by Biostatistics Professor Dr. George Kelley (pictured). This course, to be offered again in the spring of 2014, requires students to perform an actual meta-analysis. Mr. Bhattacharjee used the knowledge and skills gained in that class to publish his systematic review and meta-analysis on antidepressant use and new-onset diabetes. Congratulations to Mr. Bhattacharjee and Dr. Kelley!
