Hamrick joins SPH Student and Academic Affairs team

Audra L. Hamrick, MA, NCC, LPC, recently joined the Academic and Student Affairs team as the Director of Public Health Practice and Service Learning. Ms. Hamrick also will serve as an assistant professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Ms. Hamrick earned her MA in Counseling (2009) from WVU and is a National Certified and Licensed Professional Counselor. For nine years, Ms. Hamrick served as a professional school counselor for Monongalia County Schools. Her last several years have been devoted to working with high-risk populations and implementing trauma-informed practices within schools. Prior to working in the public school system, Ms. Hamrick worked for six years as a teacher/counselor, supervisor, and trainer within residential treatment facilities across the state. She is a native West Virginian and excited to bring her practical experience and community partnerships to public health education.
