Regional epidemiologist joins SPH and MCHD
Diane Gross, DVM, PhD, has joined the SPH as an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology. Dr. Gross will also assume the role as the Regional Epidemiologist at the Monongalia County Health Department. She has over 25 years of clinical and epidemiological practice in the United States and internationally. During this time, she worked to prevent and control infectious diseases of public health importance as well as establishing and conducting surveillance, teaching, and performing research in more than 50 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. Dr. Gross served as Senior Epidemiologist for the International Influenza Program at the CDC and the High Threat Pathogen Programme at the WHO Regional Office for Europe. She will begin her position with WVU on May 1 and will be located in the ground floor Epidemiology suite in office G103J.
