Department of Health Policy, Management and Leadership welcomes new faculty member

The Department of Health Policy, Management, & Leadership recently welcomed a new faculty member to the WVU School of Public Health. 

Dr. Darren Liu has recently joined the department as a professor. He has a PhD in Health Administration and M.S. in Biostatistics from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health.  

Liu is also a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) and is currently on the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH). He also serves on the Board of Directors of Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA).

His research interests include diversity management and health disparities, long-term care administration, and nursing home quality. He is also a senior author of two textbooks: The Challenges of Health Disparities: Implications and Actions for Health Care Professionals; Isms in Health Care Human Resources: A Concise Guide to Workplace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
