Vice President's Award ceremony held virtually, recognizing 11 individuals and one team

School of Public Health's Steve Davis, PhD; Lauren Devine; and Jennifer Sherrod among award recipients

Eleven individuals and one team were honored during a virtual ceremony with Vice President’s Awards for their significant contributions to the mission of the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center.

The ceremony was live streamed Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m. at https://www.hsc.wvu.edu/webcast. A recording of the event can be viewed here

Each year, the Vice President’s Awards honor faculty and staff who have been recognized by their peers for their outstanding accomplishments. Winners were nominated by their peers and selected by their respective Achievement Award committees.

During the virtual ceremony, Vice President and Executive Dean for Health Sciences Clay Marsh welcomed everyone and Associate Vice President for Health Sciences Academic Affairs Louise Veselicky presented the awards.

This year’s award recipients included Faculty Award winner Stephen Davis, PhD, School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy, Management, and Leadership; Jennifer Sherrod, administrative assoc., School of Public Health, Dept. of Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences; and Lauren Devine, director of admissions and recruitment, School of Public Health, Academic and Student Affairs.
