VIDEO: The sights and sounds of the WVU School of Public Health 10th anniversary celebration

The West Virginia University School of Public Health celebrated a decade of distinction from Oct. 25-28 that brought students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends of the school together.

The weeklong celebration began on Tuesday, Oct. 25 with a kickoff featuring speakers like WVU President E. Gordon Gee and Chancellor & Executive Dean for Health Sciences Clay Marsh, followed by an expert panel focused on timely trends and issues in public health and healthcare. On Wednesday, Oct. 26, a panel of School of Public Health alumni discussed their current roles and how their Public Health education has shaped their career journeys and experiences.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends gathered in the Health Sciences Center Pylons lobby on Thursday, Oct. 27 for an afternoon of connection with ice cream, a photo booth, therapy dogs and public health trivia. The celebration concluded on Friday, Oct. 28 with the Leadership in Crisis Panel featuring public health leaders from the university and beyond who played a key role in guiding their respective organizations through the COVID-19 pandemic.
