WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS OUR SORROW

It is with deep sadness that we here at OLLI announce the passing of Dr. John Edgar Hall. His impact on this organization will never be forgotten. 

John Edgar Hall was a major instrument in the Appalachian Lifelong Learners prior to the organization becoming OLLI. He then continued to be a critical part of OLLI at WVU. Dr. Hall was a Founding Member of the Honor Roll. He not only taught over 25 courses, but he also served on the Curriculum Committee for several years.  In addition, he promoted and organized group trips to see many Gilbert & Sullivan musicals at the Pittsburgh Savoyards.

On October 24, 2015, family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home starting at 2:00 PM, followed by the Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that donations be made to the Nature Conservancy of West Virginia, or the WVU Foundation – The Judith and John Hall Arts and Science Library Endowment.  See more detail in his obituary, and listed below.
