Affilitate Faculty Member from the WVPRC to Host Mini-Workshop Series

Dr. Carrie Rishel, a WVPRC Core Faculty member is working on implementing the Rural Integrated Behavioral Health Training (RIBHT) program within the WVU School of Social Work. Currently there are 23 Morgantown campus MSW students who comprise Cohort B.

One of the components of the RIBHT program is a mini-workshop series that is open to students, field instructors, agency staff, community, and university members. The goal of the mini-workshop series is to bring together students, practitioners, and faculty from various health professions to discuss specific issues relevant to rural integrated behavioral health practice.

The second RIBHT mini-workshop of the year is scheduled for Friday November 22 11:00am-12:30pm at the Mon General Hospital conference center in Morgantown.

The session, entitled Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in Behavioral Health: Applications for Integrated Health Services with Rural Populations, will be presented by Dr. Andrea Doyle, Assistant Professor in the WVU Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry.

Please join if you are able and pass along to others who might be interested. SW CEU’s are approved. Space is limited so please be sure to RSVP.
