Mental Health and Driving Pilot Study

Enrollment for this study has been reached!

Description

Previous studies suggest that people with anxiety may be more likely to experience a motor vehicle crash, but we aren’t sure why. This 40-person pilot study is evaluating how participants’ current mental health is related to their driving performance. The study involves a baseline survey which evaluates participants’ current anxiety, depression, and driving habits. Participants then complete 9 drives on the driving simulator. Through statistical analysis techniques, we can assess the relationship between driving performance and mental health. We are currently analyzing the data. Stay tuned for the results!
